  • 0% origination fee— Illinois Student Assistance Commission will pay the 1.5% origination fee on the borrower's behalf on Stafford Loans for Academic Year 2007-2008.
  • 0% default fee available — Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will pay the 1% federal default fee on Stafford Loans that are guaranteed by ISAC July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008.
  • Earn a 0.50 percentage point interest rate reduction by choosing to make payments through automatic debit*
  • Accumulate rewards equal to 4% of your monthly payment—into your Upromise account—for each of your first 12 on-time payments*
  • Accumulate rewards equal to 1% of your loan amount—into your Upromise account— when you make your first 24 on-time payments*

With a Parent PLUS Loan, parents may borrow up to the full cost of a student's education, including tuition, room and board, books and supplies, transportation, and living expenses, less other financial aid received. Parent Plus loans are fixed-rate loans at 8.5%. More information
